On September 4, 2004, our son, Parker Daniel Rowley was born still. My pregnancy was full-term and had been completely healthy and normal. Parker weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 21 inches long. He was beautiful and perfect.
All Parker needed was to get a body to finish his mortal journey. I feel honored that I could give him that.
Although losing Parker was and is very difficult, we feel overjoyed knowing that we will be reunited with him again. This blog is a way for us to express our ups and downs in the process of grieving and also a way for us to remember Parker.
Thank you for reading it. Please feel free to comment.
Little children shall be saved. They are alive in Christ and shall have eternal life. For them the family unit will continue, and the fulness of exaltation is theirs. No blessing shall be withheld. They shall rise in immortal glory, grow to full maturity, and live forever in the highest heaven of the celestial kingdom
The Prophets have said...
Joseph F. Smith said, "These little ones (stillborn babies) will receive a resurrection and then belong to us."
President Brigham Young: "When the mother feels life come to her infant, it is the spirit entering the body preparatory to the immortal existence." Mormon Doctrine by Bruce R. McConkie, page 768.
